Jonathan Parker - They'll Never Play My Songs In Nashville 2013
Jonathan
Parker & The Bel-Airs, are a no apologies, traditional,
country/honkytonk band from deep in the moonshining swamps of Johnston
County NC. Jonathan Parker began his trek in the music business 13 years
ago in the rock/alternative world with his heavy rock band, The
Cardinal Effect. After extensive touring in support of their tribunal
records, debut LP, the group disbanded and went their separate ways. A
hard hitting rock bottom, following a long battle with drug addiction,
led Parker back down the path he'd always dreamed of. With hopes of
someday being able to write, record, and tour with his own brand of
traditional country music, he started piecing together a "strictly
traditional" country band. Later forming what is now known as his band,
The Bel-Airs: Jonathan Parker on Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, Kelly
Allen on Lead Guitar, Danny Kelly on Drums, Jimmy Mitchell on Bass
Guitar and Backing Vocals, and the legendary Clyde Mattocks on Pedal
Steel Guitar. After constructing a collection of original material and
several honkytonk gigs under their belt, the band have finally made
plans to release their debut LP, "They'll Never Play My Songs In
Nashville", in the spring of 2013. In a world of watered down BS, force
fed by today's radio, Jonathan Parker & The Bel-Airs are certainly a
breath of fresh air to any traditional country/honkytonk fan! For fans
of : Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin
