Charley Pride Maintains International Focus With Upcoming Tour Of Canada

charley-pride-jan2014Country music legend CHARLEY PRIDE has performed internationally on a regular basis for well over 45 years.  Now well into his 70s, Pride continues to wow audiences worldwide with his timeless voice, renowned stage show and a breathtaking repertoire that includes more than 50 Top 10 Country hits.
Pride returns to Canada during May and June of 2014 with appearances scheduled in six provinces including Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan.
“I’ve played all of the provinces in Canada at one time or another” says Pride.  “My first Canadian shows were with Bill Anderson and Faron Young.  I loved it then.  And I love it now.  The show promoters and country music fans in Canada have been wonderful to me over the years.”
Pride has long been considered an international ambassador for Country music.  This status was formally recognized back in October of 2012 when he was inducted into the IEBA (International Entertainment Buyers Association) Hall Of Fame.
In the 14 months since, Pride, who is also a Country Music Hall of Famer and Grammy winner, has performed for Country music fans all across the globe.  His twelve show tour of Ireland and the United Kingdom during late 2012 was a resounding success that included a stop at London’s IndigO2, a multi-night engagement at Waterfront Hall Auditorium in Belfast and an appearance on the “Later… with Jools Holland” television show.  Last year, Pride headlined the Lofoten Country Music Festival in Norway, enjoyed a successful nine date tour of Canada and completely sold out his 16 date tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Tickets for the Canadian shows are on sale now.
